"Heads up: your students might not want to stop"
I used Breakout EDU with my class, i wasn’t expecting them to get as into it as they did. Even the quieter students started jumping in on the puzzles and wanted to keep going until they finished. Fair warning though: the setup took me a little time to figure out at first, so don’t wait until the last minute to prep it. It’s not totally effortless, but once it’s running, it’s a really solid way to get students motivated and engaged

"There were definitely a few useful ideas..."
There were definitely a few useful ideas I could take back and use, but overall the training felt rushed and a bit repetitive. I kept hoping it would go deeper or feel more organized. If future sessions are the same, I’d probably look for a different PD option next time.

"Worked well for their ages"
It seemed on point for my kids’ ages. They were able to follow along without much help, which was nice. I wasn’t totally sure what to expect at first, but it ended up being easy enough for them

"Shipping took a little longer than expected"
Overall, everything was fine, but the shipping did take a bit longer than I thought it would. Not a huge issue, just something to keep in mind if you need it quickly...

"Like I said, it was really..."
Like I said, it was really easy to use. Setup was simple, and like I said, I didn’t have to spend much time figuring things out.

"I like the idea, but it started..."
I like the idea, but it started to feel a little repetitive after a bit. I was kind of rushed trying to keep my class engaged, and we ran through the options faster than I expected. It works fine overall, but I wish there were more levels and topics to choose from for the price.

"Fun idea, but I ended up doing extra work"
My students actually enjoyed it, so I wanted to like it more, but the lessons just didn’t line up with our standards the way I expected. I felt like I was stuck fixing and adjusting things instead of just being able to use it as-is, which was frustrating because I already have enough on my plate.

"Wow, setup was super quick"
I was surprised, I jumped in expecting it to take a while, but it was done in like five minutes total. Super easy.

"Actually keeps my class moving"
I’ve been using Breakout EDU in my classroom, it really does help keep things on track. My students have something to focus on, they know what they’re working toward, and I’m not constantly stopping to say the same thing over and over again. Before, it felt like I was redirecting everyone every two minutes, and then redirecting them again, and then somehow redirecting the same kids again.

It’s easy to set up, and most of the time the noise feels more like productive noise instead of total chaos. It’s not perfect every single time, and yeah, there are still moments where I have to repeat myself way too much, because apparently repeating myself is just part of teaching. But overall, it helps a lot, and I’d rather have this than another activity where I’m repeating directions nonstop

"Honestly, really solid lessons"
I’ve used Breakout EDU a few times now, the lessons are great. Like, the activities actually keep my students paying attention, which is not always easy, and they’re kind of forced to talk through the problems instead of just randomly guessing. Some of the lessons do take a little bit of time to set up, for sure, but it’s worth it in the end. It just makes class feel a lot less boring, honestly.

"I had a great time with these puzzles..."
I had a great time with these puzzles. The design is clever, like really clever, and it kept me interested the whole way through. Fun, fun little challenge

"I like the idea behind it..."
I like the idea behind it, but it costs too much for my class. On top of that, the way it was handled felt careless, which made it even harder to justify the price

"Breakout EDU has been solid..."
Breakout EDU has been solid for me in class. Pages load quickly, the games open without a fuss, and I haven’t run into any weird tech problems. if something goes wrong during a lesson, I usually can’t blame the platform—it’s probably our Wi-Fi acting up again

"I used Breakout EDU for a while..."
I used Breakout EDU for a while, and the subscription part was easy to deal with. I could find my plan info and make changes without having to click around forever, which I appreciated. The renewal reminder was helpful too, especially since I know a few other people have mentioned forgetting about renewals with tools like this. The only thing I’d say is the billing page could be a little clearer in a couple places. Overall though, no major issues, and support replied when I had a question.

"I’ve been using Breakout EDU with my class..."
I’ve been using Breakout EDU with my class, and it’s been easy to move around the site with my screen reader. The buttons and menus are laid out in a way that mostly makes sense, so I’m not sitting there feeling totally lost while clicking around.

I also like that the activities still work well with captions and clear, simple directions. Some of my students need a little extra support, and they can jump in without me having to redo the whole thing or make a bunch of changes.

It’s not perfect on every single page, for sure, but overall it’s been way easier to use than a lot of other school websites I’ve dealt with. Kind of a relief, honestly

"Made Team Support Feel So Easy"
I was really happy with how smoothly the collaboration support worked for our group. Getting everything set up was simple, and it felt like such a relief that everyone could jump in without dealing with a bunch of confusing steps or frustration.

"Fun games, but the locks were a letdown"
My students really enjoyed the games, so that part was a win. But in my experience, the locks didn’t hold up as well as I hoped. After normal classroom use, a few started getting sticky or just wouldn’t open anymore. Maybe we got a weaker batch, but for the price, I personally expected them to be a bit more durable.

"Fun the first time, but it can get repetitive"
I had a good time with Breakout EDU the first time we used it, and my class was definitely into it. After you play a few of the games, though, some of the puzzles start to feel a little familiar. It’s still a useful activity to pull out once in a while, but I wouldn’t keep replaying it unless there’s fresh content added.

"I started using Breakout EDU earlier this school..."
I started using Breakout EDU earlier this school year, and after a few weeks of trying different games with my students, I really liked how I could tweak parts of them to match what we were covering in class. Once I spent a little time clicking around, the customization felt straightforward.

The only downside was that, at first, a few settings were harder to find than I expected, so it took me a bit to get comfortable. But now that I’ve used it a handful of times, I’d say it’s a flexible and useful tool for making activities fit my class.
